R/D9

So far I have thought that the class is great, and has given me a lot of things that I plan on incorporating into my classroom. None of the tasks have been super challenging, but they have introduced things to me that I didn't previously know or use so it has been nice. I find the amount of support you have provided to be adequate, also having a forum where you can discuss things with classmates is nice. As far as having this class early in the program it is great because it is a wide variety of things that are being done.

  1. I too appreciate all the feedback and help, however I have needed it as I didn't find things easy. An example of this is I have tried 5 times to add the link to my last post that would send you to the site for the oil spill products. I add it, it appears on my view of the blog, but after I post it, it isn't there. I tried typing the feed in as it appeared linked, it shows up on the post--I then post it and not there. I have no idea what is wrong, but now it appears and works--so I'm happy it's there, but wonder what was different the 5th time.

  2. I think if it was too challenging then it would put us off on using it in the classroom. I too have found projects that I can use in my classes.

  3. It's good that you didn't find the technology too challenging, but still learned new things. I know that I've learned a lot! A lot more than I even expected, actually. I also enjoy being able to have the open dialogue with peers in the course.

  4. I really do appreciate the ongoing dialog among our classmates. When I first enrolled in this online class, I assumed that there would not be much interaction, but this format of blog postings and required responses not only gets us to interact, but to review the material by reading each others' responses - brilliant! The more I think about it, the more I like it as an idea for my students as well.
